Natural Science Illustration for Kids Do you know a child who loves art and nature? We still have a few spaces
in scientific illustrator Christine Elder’s fun-filled day of art activities. Students will learn drawing techniques not otherwise taught in formal art programs including: methods for creating realistic drawings, quick sketching techniques for capturing shapes, forms, texture, and mood, and ways to think more creatively. Open to ages 10-14. Saturday, May 28 from 11am-4pm. Members $45/General $55. Register here.
Earth Day Class Challenge From now through Memorial Day the Museum is hosting the winners of the Santa Cruz Earth Day Class Challenge. Come learn from students at Gault, Mt Madonna and Tierra Pacific Charter how to reduce your carbon footprint, limit the amount of trash that ends up in the ocean, and keep your car from polluting the air and water.
